About Our Office

Soil Resource Development Institute (SRDI) is a government organization under the Ministry of Agriculture. This organization started in 1961 under the name 'Soil Survey Project of Pakistan'. After the independence of Bangladesh, the institution came to be known as 'Soil Survey Department' under the Ministry of Agriculture in 1972, and later in 1983, after reorganizing and expanding the 'Soil Survey Department', the organization has been operating with the name of Soil Resource Development Institute (SRDI). Soil Resource Development Institute (SRDI), Regional Office, Munshiganj started operating in 2020. Two districts Munshiganj and Narayanganj are under Soil Resources Development Institute (SRDI) Regional Office, Munshiganj. At present, the activities of this office are being conducted in a rented building at 290/1 Khaleast in Munshiganj Sadar.
